Messier Objects

M31 is the famous Andromeda Galaxy, a spiral galaxy over 2 million light years away. It is the most distant object that can be seen with the naked eye. A telescope may reveal two of its companion galaxies, M32 and M110, both ellipticals.

Other Deep Sky Objects

NGC 752 is an open cluster which is readily observable through binoculars. However, a telescope is necessary to see the planetary nebula NGC 7662, possibly one of the better examples of this class of object to observe.

Two nearby stars are in this constellation. Ross 248 is just over 10 light years distant, but at twelfth magnitude, is not visible to the naked eye. The two components of Groombridge 34 are about a light year further away but are brighter than Ross 248.
